Most people who come to Beauty Charter have tried a lot already. Products that promised something. Routines that lasted three weeks. Advice from six different places that did not agree. What they usually need is not more. It is someone to look at the whole picture, explain what is happening, and build something simple enough to keep.
That is the difference here. You get a treatment, and you get an education. By the time you leave, you know what your skin needs, what it does not, and what to do next.
CUSTOM CARE

No two faces get the same facial. Your treatment is built around what your skin needs the day you walk in, which is rarely what it needed three months ago.
Depending on your skin, that might include gentle cleansing and extractions, exfoliation with a lactic, glycolic, or enzyme peel, microdermabrasion, or dermaplaning to remove surface buildup and fine vellus hair. Facial massage and gua sha release tension in the jaw and brow. A cooling jelly mask finishes the treatment when skin needs extra hydration.
We work with acne and breakouts, congestion, dryness, dullness, uneven tone, texture, fine lines, and sensitive or reactive skin. If your skin is compromised, we adjust the plan. Skin health comes first, every time.

Reiki here is offered by a practitioner certified in Usui Reiki Level 1, Level 2, and Reiki Master. That matters. Energy work is built entirely on trust, and you should always know who is in the room with you and what training they have.

Skin & soul; Marissa’s got you. From glow-getting facials to aura-aligning reiki, every treatment in her Sioux Falls studio is designed to leave you radiant, relaxed, and totally in your main-character era.
Marissa is a licensed esthetician and certified Reiki Master, and the person behind every treatment at Beauty Charter. She built this studio around a simple idea: skin care works better when it is personal, and healing works better when someone actually explains what is happening and why.
GETTING STARTED
What happens at your first visit.
We talk first. Before anything touches your face, we go through what your skin has been doing, what you have tried, what you are using now, and what is going on in your life. Stress and sleep are part of the conversation, not a detour from it.
Then we build the treatment. Your facial is chosen and adjusted in the room, based on what your skin is telling us that day.
We explain as we go. You will know what is being used and why. Questions are welcome at any point. Nobody is annoyed by them.
You leave with a plan. Not a shopping list. A short, realistic routine you can keep, and a sense of when to come back. Most skin does well on a four to six week rhythm, though we set yours together.
New clients complete intake and consent forms before the appointment. Please tell us about allergies, medications, recent treatments, or pregnancy so your service can be adjusted safely.

Most skin does best every four to six weeks, which follows your natural cell turnover. If we are working on something specific like congestion or texture, we may start closer together and space out from there.

Yes. We calm irritation, clear buildup, and support your skin barrier, then build a routine you can maintain. Improvement is a process, and we will be honest with you about the timeline.

No. Reiki can be booked as its own session, added to a facial, or combined into a longer treatment. Any of the three is a fine place to start.

Yes. Teen skin is different from adult skin, and the goal is teaching habits that are realistic to keep rather than handing a teenager a complicated routine.
